A letter from Orbital Travel managing director John McCallum:
Thank you visiting our website, we hope that it meets your needs in terms of information on our Nile cruise programs and ease of access.
Due to an ever increasing demand, we are pleased to have charted two additional Nile cruise boats from the 1st May 2010 until April 2011, the first boat is now called the "Emilio Cruise" but is probably much better known as the "Domina Prestige". This boat was build during 2003 and is very well furnished and appointed, a welcome addtiion to our Monday sailing programs. The Emilio cruise was previously on the UK market with Libra holidays.
The second Nile cruise boat starts it's sailing schedule on the 1st September 2010 and is called Amerante, but is available for booking from June 2010. This boat is smaller than many other Nile cruise boats (37 cabins), but what it lacks in overall size it more than makes up for in style and quality. The Amerante company are well known for their style and attention to detail. slightly more expensive than our other boats, but a truely lovely Nile cruise boat.
Last summer, we introduced Nile cruise boats Ms Stephanie (which sails on Monday's) and Ms Monica (which sails on Wednesday's). These Nile cruise boats are both five star deluxe rated by the Egyptian Tourist Board.
More good news for the coming winter season is that there is a new flight being added to Luxor where the Nile cruise boats depart from. The flight will commence on the 3rd November 2010 until April 2011, this flight departs on Wednesday's and is departing from Bristol, so if you live close by then getting to Luxor will never have been easier.
I would like to give you some brief information about Orbital Travel, how we work, and how we will look after your holiday arrangements should you decide to book with us, which I hope you will find this of some interest.
Orbital Travel staff have been visiting Egypt since the early nineties, much has changed during that time, but our commitment to find the best Nile cruise boats and Red Sea resort hotels has not. We constantly review and inspect every hotel and Nile cruise boat that you will find on this site, to ensure that the standards we demand for our clients are maintained and where possible improved.
We have been able to form strong lasting business relationships with our partners overseas. These relationships give us access to great rates and first class levels of service in all of our destinations ensuring that our clients receive the highest standard of customer care and attention for the best price we can offer.
When we say it is “ten minutes walk to the centre of town” it is not because we have looked it up in a tourist guide, it's because we have walked it, or the beds and pillows in the Conrad hotel in Cairo are probably the most comfortable in Egypt, we know because we have slept on them.
The failure of Sun 4 You is sad news for those people within the company and their clients. The company I understand were bonded correctly so their clients will at least have the reassurance that the cost of their holiday will be covered if they have yet to travel and other clients will be covered by the companies bonding scheme.
The volcanic ash cloud which caused so much disruption in April, have once again shown the importance of having full protection for your holiday. If you choose a package from a bonded holiday company such as Orbital Travel then your money is safe from the moment you pay your deposit. Any money paid to us for your holiday goes directly into our trust account until you have travelled, so should the worst happen, your money is safe with our bonding agent.
When we started our business, one of the first things we did was to ensure that bonding was in place to protect our clients. Our aim was to fully protect our clients so they are as secure as possible, that is why we chose the Travel Trust Association. The TTA hold our client's money in a trust fund until they return from their holiday, only then are the funds released to us. Orbital Travel is also bonded with the CAA within the ATOL license scheme which allows us to package flights with our contracted accommodation. Every element of your holiday is covered from the moment you place your booking with us.
Our aim is to provide our clients with a holiday experience that will be remembered for many years to come. We never forget that we are dealing with your holiday.
Again, thank you for visiting our site, we look forward to seeing you in one of our select destinations.
John McCallum.
